Hello my friends,a bit of a change in plans. Seeing as the upper wales meet the stern castels I, have decided to build these first.These photos show the round castels and frames installed. Merry Christmas !! I was able to complete two of the four side gallery roofs this morning.It is hard to see in the photo but there is an access space in the lower gallery roof that allows light to enter the recessed window.Just like the the real ship.Cheers Walter.............Feliz Navidad! Hello,It is Christmas eve.I have completed the upper gallery roof on the opposite side.I have added extra plank supports to the lower gallery.This has made the cutting of the window hole much easier.Have a wonderful Christmas my friends,Walter.......... Oh well.Until próxima vez, Cheers Walter...............Hello Guillermo,you kind words are very inspiring,thank you.With this Mantua/Sergal kit,the galleries actually were not to difficult to assemble.The upper roof pieces were laser cut.So it was just a matter of trimming them to the correct size.The lower galleries are made from 1x3mm walnut plank stock.It's been a while since my last update.I finally managed to drill the upper most battery ports.All I have to do with them now is to trim a bit more to the outsides of them so I can fit the bronze wreaths around them.Speaking of which,I tied inserting each cannon barrel thru the wreaths only to find out that a majority of the cannons are poorly casted and the front of the barrels mishapen anmost an egg like shape. They would not fit.Not much room to grind out the wreath collor,so I filed the mostly the bottoms of the bad barrels.They don't look bad and you cant really tell that there was a problem except for the fact that where I filed them,they are super shinney.Im planning om using a dark colored patina on the barrels and the scupltures throughout the ship.Any Idea where I could buy a premixed patina online?Hot or cold applicating doesnt matter.Im looking for either a dark brown,burgandy or a dark purpleish brown.I also came up with a pretty good looking red called "Brilliant Red"from Sherwin Williams.After much searching and traveling to come up with a red.I finally realized that my front door on my house is red...."DUH"......and that I had almost a full gallon in the basement.......HA!! oh well.Until next time,Cheers Walter

Hola Walter ,de momento lo llevas bien por lo menos yo lo veo asi,en cuanto a las pinturas que yo utilize fueron,acrilica americana ref-DA20

y para la patina utilizo el de pinturas vallejo la patina negra ref- MC205,de todos modos mi vasa esta sufriendo algunos cambios importantes en torno a la decoración,ahora pinto todas las figuras en vez de dorarlas como estaba antes,te pongo una foto de un bote de pintura americana,no se si en tu pais la encontraras aunque curiosamente lleve el nombre
